What happens when I hit a monthly limit?
Online bookings pause at the cap and SMS pauses once credits run out (emails too on the Free plan — paid plans have unlimited transactional email) — top up or upgrade to keep going.
It depends on the limit. At your online-booking cap, customers trying to book online see "We're not taking any more online bookings this month. Please call us directly to book." until the cycle resets — bookings you take yourself still work, and you're warned by notification at 80% and 100%. When your email allowance runs out (Free plan with no paid product only — every paid plan and paid product includes unlimited transactional email, and on venues with a Tickets product, ticket confirmations and event reminders never count against any allowance at all), sends switch to any purchased credits (an amber banner tells you); once those are gone too, a red banner appears — but essential customer emails (confirmations, cancellations, changes, table-ready notices, ticket confirmations, gift card deliveries, payment receipts) keep sending and build an owed balance that your next top-up settles first, while reminders, follow-ups and your own alert copies pause. It's not free sending — the meter shows "overdrawn by N" and every paused email is listed in your Activity Log and bell. When your SMS allowance and credits run out, outbound SMS stops entirely until you top up from Account → Add-Ons or your cycle resets. Booking caps can't be topped up with credits — upgrading the plan is the fix there. Image storage is different again — it doesn't reset monthly; if the pool is full, new image uploads are declined until you delete images or add storage (How much image storage do I get?).
