How do I change plan?
Upgrade instantly with a prorated charge, or schedule a downgrade for the end of your billing period — and cancel a scheduled change.
You change plan yourself from the dashboard: upgrades happen immediately (you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the period), downgrades land at the end of your current paid period. Only the account owner can do this — admins see a locked notice on the billing pages.
- Go to Account → Billing and click Upgrade on the plan card (on Complete it says Change plan), or go to Account → Plan & Usage and use the plan cards or Change plan under Manage subscription.
- The Change plan pop-up opens with all four plans and a Monthly / Annual switch. As it says there: upgrades take effect immediately and you only pay for the rest of this period; downgrades — and switching from annual to monthly — land at the end of your current paid period.
Upgrading
- Click Upgrade on the plan you want. You'll see the prorated charge before anything is taken, then confirm — you'll be asked to confirm your password. The card on file is charged the prorated difference straight away and the new features unlock immediately (a secure card form appears if your bank needs an extra check or there's no card saved).
Downgrading
- Click Downgrade on the plan you want. A summary pop-up shows the new price, the start date, and a To pay today line reading £0.00 — nothing is charged now, and you keep your current features until the date shown.
- If you're over the new plan's caps it warns You'll be over the new caps — nothing is deleted; for example excess tables stay visible but you can't add more until you reduce. The same goes for staff: nobody is ever locked out — all your existing staff keep their PIN access after the downgrade; you simply can't add anyone new until you're back under the new plan's staff limit (by removing someone or upgrading again). If you run promotions or a loyalty scheme and the new plan doesn't include them, the dialog warns you too: your promotions will stop and your loyalty scheme will freeze — members keep their balances, but no one can earn or spend until you upgrade again. (A venue that owns the standalone Loyalty product keeps its scheme running — the product, not the plan, carries it; the same goes for any feature an owned product grants.)
- Type DOWNGRADE, click Schedule downgrade, and confirm your password.
Changing your mind
While a change is scheduled, an amber banner on Billing and Plan & Usage says where you'll land and when (a downgrade names the plan; a cancellation names the Free plan — or, if you're keeping standalone products, says your plan ends and your products carry on). Click Cancel scheduled change (or Continue subscription, if the scheduled change is a cancellation) to undo it any time before the date. You can't start another plan change while one is scheduled — cancel the pending one first.
