How do I check my usage against my plan's limits?
The Plan & Usage page — usage meters, cycle timeline, top-up balances, end-of-cycle projections and what happens at a limit.
Open Account → Plan & Usage to see every allowance against your plan's limits. Only the account owner sees this page.
What's on the page
The page is a shelf — one card for each thing you own:
- Your venue plan card — your current plan, where you are in the billing cycle, your next renewal date, and the usage meters for Transactional emails, SMS usage (once SMS is available on your plan), Marketing emails (on marketing plans), Online bookings, Tables and Staff members. Small bars beside a meter show your previous cycles, and once you're at least three days into a cycle a projection estimates whether you'll exceed the limit by the end of it. A Compare all features button sits with the plan-change options. Annual subscribers see a monthly usage cycle inside their yearly billing period, so the end date is a quota reset, not a charge.
- A card for each product you own — when it started, with buttons to manage it and open its stats. A venue running products without a venue plan sees product cards only, with its account-wide meters alongside — adding a venue plan is offered as an option, never shown as a current state.
- Top-up balances — a compact strip with your purchased transactional email, SMS and marketing email credits, a Purchase more credits button and an amber warning when a balance is running low.
- Image storage — one meter for all your images (logos, covers, menu photos, event banners and marketing), shown for everyone, with a Manage images button that opens the image library and a Manage add-ons link where Extra Storage applies. Storage doesn't reset each cycle — deleting images frees space immediately.
What happens when you hit a limit
- Online bookings — new online bookings are politely declined until the cycle resets — customers see "We're not taking any more online bookings this month. Please call us directly to book." — and you can still take bookings yourself. You'll get a warning notification at 80% and 100%.
- Emails — transactional emails are unlimited on every paid plan and with any paid product, so this limit only applies on the Free plan with no paid product (and its 50/month allowance). On venues with a Tickets product, ticket confirmations and event reminders never count against any allowance at all. There, once the monthly allowance is used, sends come from your purchased credits; an amber banner tells you so. When credits run out too, a red banner appears — but essential customer emails never stop: booking confirmations, cancellations, changes, waitlist table-ready notices, ticket confirmations, gift card deliveries and receipts, and payment receipts keep sending and are recorded as an owed balance (your email meter shows "overdrawn by N" in red). Your next credit top-up settles the owed balance first — buy 500 credits while 30 overdrawn and 470 land in your account. What does pause at zero: booking and event reminders, follow-ups and your own staff alert copies — each paused email is listed in your Activity Log and notification bell so nothing disappears silently. Everything resumes when you top up or the cycle resets.
- SMS — once the allowance and any purchased SMS credits are used, outbound SMS stops until you top up or the cycle resets (SMS never goes into an owed balance). Each paused text is listed in your Activity Log and notification bell — the same "nothing disappears silently" record paused emails get. Where a paused SMS has an email twin — like the waitlist table-ready notice — the customer still gets the email.
- Tables and staff — you can't add more until you remove some or upgrade; nothing existing is deleted.
- Image storage — new uploads are declined until you delete images or add storage; everything already uploaded stays. See How much image storage do I get?.
