Which bookings count towards a customer's booking total?
Total bookings counts each booking as it's made; the Visit counting setting controls which bookings feed the average-party-size stat.
A customer's Total bookings figure counts each booking when it's made — including ones they later cancelled or didn't turn up for. Auto-VIP does not use that figure: it counts real visits — Total bookings minus anything recorded as cancelled or a no-show — so a serial canceller never crosses your threshold. (A waitlist join only counts once it becomes a real booking.) The Visit counting setting in Settings → Customers controls which bookings feed the Avg party statistic on the profile: Attended bookings only (the default and recommended choice — only bookings you marked Cleared count, so the average reflects customers who actually turned up) or All confirmed bookings. Each booking is only ever counted once, and changing the setting isn't retroactive — existing customers aren't recalculated; only future bookings use the new rule.
