How do I flag VIPs (automatically)?
Mark customers as VIP by hand, or let auto-VIP flag them once they reach a visit threshold you choose.
You can flag a VIP by hand from their profile, or switch on auto-VIP so regulars are flagged for you once they reach a visit count you choose. VIP flagging is Available on Pro plan and above.
Manually: open the customer from Customers and tap the VIP pill in the Tags section (or tick Mark as VIP when adding a customer). VIPs get a star next to their name and a gold avatar, so they're easy to spot during service. Tap the pill again to remove VIP.
Automatically:
- Go to Settings → Customers and open the Auto-VIP card. (The page needs Customer Profiles — Available on Plus plan and above, and included with every paid product.)
- Switch on Enable auto-VIP.
- Set the Visit threshold — the default is 10, and you can set anything from 2 to 100.
- Click Save changes.
Once it's on, a customer who crosses the threshold is flagged VIP on their next booking. The count used is their real visits — bookings they made, minus any that were cancelled or marked a no-show — so a customer who books often but rarely turns up never reaches the threshold. (A waitlist join only counts once it turns into a real booking.) Auto-VIP only ever adds the flag; it never removes one. One thing worth knowing if you tap the pill off by hand: a customer whose real visits are still over the threshold is re-flagged automatically the next time they book — so while auto-VIP is on, un-VIPing a regular only lasts until their next booking. To keep someone un-flagged for good, switch auto-VIP off (or raise the threshold above their count).
