How do I set up a regular booking for a customer who comes every week?

Tick "Repeat this booking" on a staff booking to book a regular in every week, every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks — until a date or until you stop it — with their usual table, one email to the customer, and the normal reminder before each visit.

A regular is a customer who wants the same table at the same time every week (or every 2 or 4 weeks). Instead of typing the booking in each time, staff make it once and tick Repeat this booking — ResoFlow keeps the next 8 weeks in the diary and keeps adding to them. Available on Plus and above.

Setting one up

Each visit is an ordinary booking — it shows on the day, gets the normal reminder before the visit, counts in the day's covers, and can be seated, moved or cancelled on its own. Regular visits carry a small Regular chip on the Bookings list and in the booking panel.

The usual table

If the customer's usual table is already taken on one of the dates, the visit is still booked — without a table — and you're told: a bell alert (Regular booking without its usual table) plus the amber Regular · needs a table chip on that visit. Assign a table from the booking as you would for any unassigned party. If a date can't be booked at all (the venue is closed that day, or there's no room), that one visit is skipped and the bell says so (Regular booking not made) so you can make it by hand.

What the customer gets

One email when the regular booking is set up — Regular booking set in Settings → Notifications → Email templates, where you can change the wording — saying how often, the time, the party and the first visit. They do not get a confirmation email for every visit. Before each visit they get the usual reminder, with the link to change or cancel just that visit; a cancelled visit gets the usual cancellation notice.

Changing or stopping it

If the person who set the regular booking up leaves the team or loses the permission to make bookings, the series pauses and the bell tells you — set it up again from the next visit.
