How do I customise Home, and who sees what?
Rearrange or hide Home's cards with Customise, what each role sees, the New booking, walk-in and waitlist buttons, and how Home is laid out.
Part of How do I use the Home screen?. This part covers arranging Home for yourself with Customise, who sees what, creating bookings, walk-ins and waitlist entries from Home, and how Home is laid out.
Customise
Open More (…) beside New booking and click Customise to rearrange Home for yourself. Each section gains a small strip with Up, Down and Hide (or Show) — on a computer Up and Down move a card within its own row — hidden sections dim while you're customising and disappear once you're done. Only the cards your Home can show are listed: one your plan doesn't include (for example Orders now without Order & Pay, or On today without rotas) isn't there to move. The card that needs a decision — Needs you while you're open, Before service before it, Needs attention after — can be moved but never hidden (its strip says "Always shown"), so nobody hides the list that tells them a guest is late or a deposit is owed. Once you've changed anything, Reset to default puts Home back to its usual layout. Click Done to finish; the layout is saved for you on that sign-in, and other staff keep their own arrangements.
Who sees what
Home is open to everyone on your team, but each card shows only what that person's role lets them see: someone whose role can't view bookings sees no booking lists and no booking figures, the waitlist card and figure need the waitlist permission, Orders now needs the permission to run the Orders screen, and Taken today needs the permission to see Payments (the same as the Payments page). Cards they can't see don't appear in Customise either.
Creating from Home
In the staff app on the venue's own devices (signed in with a PIN) the four jobs of a service sit under the greeting as big buttons that never fold away: Seat a walk-in, New booking, Waitlist (with its queue count) and Find a table — each shown to whoever may use it. Each arriving party's row in The next 90 minutes has Arrived (when your venue records arrivals) beside Seat; both change the row straight away and put it back, saying so, if the change doesn't save.
On the dashboard, New booking sits in the page header. On a wide screen Waitlist (with its queue count) and Seat a walk-in sit beside it; on a narrower one they fold into the ⋯ menu beside it as Seat a walk-in and Waitlist. The walk-in button shows Full when no table is free soon, and Waitlist opens the waitlist dialog. When an option is greyed out, tapping it shows a short message explaining why — for example that no tables are free right now, or that the waitlist isn't available.
How Home is laid out
On a computer Home is in rows that line up, today first: the card that needs a decision and today's own cards (Orders now, the Waitlist, Taken today), with Tonight at a glance (or Up next, or The next 90 minutes) and Yesterday beside them; then Today's notes, On today and What's new side by side (two across on an iPad, one under another on a phone); then Your products — today's figures for the gift cards, tickets and loyalty your venue is using (gift cards sold and redeemed, events on and tickets sold, loyalty joins and members), each opening its page, for anyone whose role can open that page (one your plan includes that you haven't switched on yet — no gift cards on sale, no event in the next 30 days, no loyalty scheme running — shows instead as one quiet line, "Also on your plan: Loyalty · Set it up", for owners and admins); then your For you list; and last a From ResoFlow line — Rezo suggests beside the quick links: Ask Rezo, Help and support, Settings and, on a plan with reports, Reports. Owners and admins see What's new (the latest product updates, with See all), Rezo suggests and the quick links. Staff using the portal see the same Home page in one column, without these.
