Selling event tickets without table bookings
Switch off Accept online table bookings to run ResoFlow as an events box office — event pages keep selling tickets as normal.
If your venue sells tickets — DJ nights, tastings, one-off dinners — but doesn't want customers booking ordinary tables online, one switch sets that up.
On the standalone Tickets product with no restaurant plan there's nothing to switch off — your account has no online table bookings in the first place, so your event pages are already your box office and this guide doesn't apply. The switch below is for venues on a restaurant plan that take table bookings.
The switch
- Go to Settings → Booking rules and open Booking channels.
- Switch off Accept online table bookings (it's the first toggle).
- Click Save changes.
From that moment your public booking page and embedded widget show a polite "online bookings unavailable" message, with your phone number and address still shown so customers can contact you. Nobody can submit an online table booking — the block is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the page.
Events are unaffected — that's the point
The toggle only stops online table bookings:
- Every published event page keeps selling tickets exactly as before — any event link or QR code you've shared still works (How do I publish an event and sell tickets?).
- Bookings you add yourself from the dashboard still work (that's the separate Enable staff bookings toggle in the same card) — handy for private hires or regulars who ring up.
- Deposits on staff-created bookings, ticket payments and refunds all behave as normal (How do I take booking deposits?).
The old workaround — closed booking hours
Before this toggle existed, the pattern was to close every day's Online booking hours (in Settings → Hours) so the booking page never offered a slot (How do I set my opening hours?). That still works, but the toggle is clearer: customers see "we're not taking online bookings" rather than a page with no available times, and your opening hours stay correct for everything else.
Turning table bookings back on
Flip the same toggle back on — the booking page starts offering slots again immediately, using whatever hours and rules you already have set.
If you also skip door-work on the odd table booking you do take, read Running ResoFlow reference-only for the switches that assume arrival-marking.
