Getting started with Tickets
A venue that runs Tickets on its own — the short set-up list, taking payment for paid events, going live, and the ways customers reach your What's on page (the link, the QR code, your own website and your venue page).
Tickets runs on its own — no venue plan needed — or alongside any plan, in two versions: Tickets Free and Tickets. A venue that signs up for Tickets on its own gets a short set-up list with no table, floor-plan or booking steps.
Your set-up
Your set-up lists what's needed before you sell:
- Confirm venue info — what customers see on your pages.
- Set policies — your terms for customers.
- Create your first event — the step ticks itself once an event is published.
Then press Go live. Until you do, your pages show customers "Opening soon". The Set up tickets card on the Events page opens the next step while anything is left.
Selling paid tickets? Ticket money goes straight to your own Stripe account, so a paid event can't be published until Stripe is connected — the Paid tickets part of Your set-up walks you through it. Free events never need Stripe.
Where customers find your events
The Your What’s on page card sits on the Events page, with four ways to share it:
- The link — tap it to copy it, then put it in your social bios and email footers.
- QR code — opens your What's on code on the QR codes page, ready to print for a poster or the bar.
- Add to your website — opens Website widgets on the What's on widget. Press Get the code in that widget's card and paste the one line into your own website, and your events appear there.
- Your venue page — it shows a What's on section for you automatically.
After you go live
- Check guests in at the door with the Scanner (the Meet the Scanner step shows how) — add your team on the Staff page so each signs in with their own PIN.
- Buy a ticket to your own event to see the confirmation email and wallet pass customers get.
