How do I use the Home screen?
Today's stats, the Needs attention and Up next lists, quick booking creation, and the What's New and Quick links cards.
Home is your at-a-glance service page: today's numbers, anything that needs a decision, and who's arriving next.
The top of the page
A greeting, today's date, and a banner showing whether you're Open or Closed right now, today's hours, and live counts for Seated, Late and Walk-ins.
The first two follow how you track visits (Settings → Alerts & sounds → How you track visits), because a count of something nobody records would be a made-up number rather than an empty one:
- Track the whole visit — you see Seated 3/12 and Late, as above.
- Mark customers as arrived — the first count becomes Arrived 3/12, since ticking someone off at the door is what your team actually records. Late stays, because an arrival tick clears it.
- Just take bookings — neither count appears. Nobody marks arrivals here, so a "0" would mean "we can't know", which reads exactly like "nobody has turned up".
Walk-ins is always shown — it counts how a booking was created, not anything marked during service. See Running ResoFlow as a booking diary.
Today's stat boxes
- Covers today — every guest expected today.
- Event — ticket holders, shown only on a day with an event.
- Bookings — advance bookings (clicks through to the Bookings list).
- Walk-ins — shown when walk-ins are switched on.
- Needs attention — turns amber when something needs you; clicks through to the attention tab.
- On waitlist — shown only when the waitlist is running. The waitlist is Available on Complete plan and also needs Enable Smart services switched on in Settings → Waitlist.
Needs attention
Lists today's bookings that need a decision, each tagged with the reason: Awaiting approval (online bookings waiting for your confirmation), Running late, Unassigned (no table yet), Deposit pending, plus seating warnings. Each row offers a one-click action — Approve, Seat or Clear — and View all opens the full list. When there's nothing to do it shows All clear — "Nothing needs your attention right now."
Up next
The next arrivals booked for today, in time order, with a Seat button on each row. When the day's done it shows Nothing coming up.
Clicking any booking row opens a detail panel on the right; from there you can make quick changes or jump to the full editor on the Bookings page.
Creating from Home
The topbar buttons create everything: New booking, Add walk-in (shows Full when no table is free soon), and Waitlist (shows Table free when a table is available now, and a queue counter you can click to see who's waiting). When one of these buttons is greyed out, tapping it shows a short message explaining why — for example that no tables are free right now, or that the waitlist isn't available.
The right-hand cards
Owners and admins also see What's New (the latest product updates, with See all) and Quick links (currently Contact support). Staff using the portal see the same Home page without these cards.
