Which emails do event customers get?
Turn on event reminders, a day-after thank-you and abandoned-checkout recovery emails for ticketed events.
Ticket holders can get a reminder before the event, a thank-you the day after, and — if someone starts buying a ticket but doesn't finish — a friendly nudge back to the checkout. All three switches live in Settings → Customer notifications, under Event notifications, and they're email only (no SMS for event messages).
Events are available on Pro plan and above, and with the Tickets product. Only Owners and Admins see this page.
Set up the three emails
- Go to Settings → Customer notifications and open Event notifications.
- Event reminders — switch on to email each ticket holder before their event, with the date, time and a link to their tickets. Pick the lead time underneath: 2, 6, 12, 24, 48 or 72 hours before, or 1 week before (the default is 24 hours before).
- Event thank-you — switch on to send ticket holders a warm thank-you email the day after the event finishes. Sent once per ticket.
- Recover abandoned checkouts — switch on to send one friendly email when a customer starts buying a ticket but doesn't finish. It's a deliberate opt-in — off by default. Pick the Wait before sending: 15 or 30 minutes, or 1, 2 or 3 hours (the default is 30 minutes).
- Click Save changes.
Editing the wording
The wording of the event emails — including Event Ticket Confirmation, Event Reminder, Event Thank You, Event Cancellation and Event Updated — is edited on a different page: Settings → Email templates (How do I edit the emails customers receive?). The ticket confirmation and cancellation emails send automatically as part of buying or refunding tickets; the toggles here only control the reminder, thank-you and abandoned-checkout emails.
What the customer sees
Ticket holders get a reminder with a link to their ticket page, then a thank-you after the night. An abandoned-checkout email arrives once (never repeatedly) and links straight back to the event page to finish paying.
