How do I set up my website's pages?
Switch your website's pages on, fill in Home's cards and the gallery, add your own pages with blocks, and set up the contact form and news.
Part of How do I set up my venue website?. This part covers your site's pages: the built-in pages, Home's two optional cards, gallery photos, your own pages and their blocks, the contact form, news, and writing ideas.
Your pages
The editor is a list of sections — each opens to its switch (the line under the switch says what's happening on your site right now) and a short form. Most sections also have a Section heading and Intro line you can rewrite; leave them blank and the look's own wording is used.
- Home — always on. The Opening line (up to 140 characters) is your venue's ONE opening line: the same line shows under your name on your free venue page and on ResoFlow's venue list, so you only ever write it once. While your website isn't live, saving changes it everywhere straight away; once your site is live, a changed line waits with your other changes and goes live when you press Publish changes (Discard throws it away). The Hero photo: your cover image from Settings → Branding is used by default (with its own Set cover focus point control so the crop keeps the right part in view), or pick a website-only hero photo from your image library and use Set focus point on that instead (click the part of the photo that must stay in view, or use the arrow keys — hold Shift for small steps). Under the photo controls, What the hero shows previews exactly what a phone and a desktop will show of the photo, so you can judge the focus point against the real crop. Every Book a table on your site opens your site's own Book page, inside your header and footer, in your colours, so a guest stays inside your website's look from start to finish — try it in the preview. Home also carries two optional cards, each with its own switch — see the next section.
- About — your story (up to 800 characters) and a Page photo (drop it on the box or tap Choose a picture), which you crop to the 4:3 shape the site shows, so what you frame is exactly what appears. Show the About section puts your story on the home page. The Add an About page to your site menu switch adds an About entry to your site's menu (on by default): the page shows your story and photo, or The longer version if you write one (up to 4,000 characters) — and it shows whenever there's any story to tell, even with the home page's section switched off. Under your story, Rezo writes your About (1 Rezo credit) writes it for you from your venue profile and your menu — it goes into the box for you to change before you save, and if the box already has your words, Rezo asks before replacing them. Nothing goes live until you publish.
- Menu — marked From your data: a featured menu section appears on the home page, showing a few dishes with a "See the full menu" link to the Menu page. Pick up to 4 Featured menu sections, or leave it automatic.
- What's on — your published events and your custom What's on entries (quiz nights, live music — added from the Events page, on any plan) appear automatically in one list, soonest first; ticketed events carry their from-price and a Get tickets marker (Sold out once they're gone). The home page shows the next few with a link to the full What's on page.
- Contact & hours — its own Contact page in the site menu: your address, phone number, opening hours (today highlighted), directions, social links and a map (shown when the guest taps Show map), straight from your settings, shown read-only with links to change them there — using the details saved in your settings. Review those details when your arrangements change. The footer's Visit column summarises your regular weekly hours on every page. Show your email on your website (off until you switch it on) adds your contact email from Profile to the Contact page and the footer, as a link guests can tap to email you — handy for private hire and party enquiries.
- Book a table — for a venue that takes table bookings (any venue plan), always on, riding your existing booking flow with deposits, waitlist and confirmations exactly as normal. The Book a table button's own words are fixed — you can't rename it (nor the header's "Book now"). What you can rewrite is the Closing invitation heading and Closing invitation line at the bottom of the home page. When your venue takes deposits or payment at booking, a short auto-written summary line (for example "A deposit of £5 per guest for parties of 6 or more may be asked for — free cancellation up to 24 hours before") appears at the booking card's Continue button and under the closing invitation — it uses your payment settings to explain the booking step. Review the wording when you change those settings.
- Reviews — the site's reviews section; its "See all … reviews" button expands the full list in place on the home page (there's no separate Reviews page). On a phone the home page shows two reviews until a guest taps it.
The editor only offers what your venue has. A venue that takes no table bookings — for example a salon or a shop with Your website on its own — has no Book button, booking card or closing invitation on its site, so the editor doesn't show those options at all. And What's on only mentions tickets if you sell them.
Home's two optional cards — "Order to your table" and "Get our news"
Two switches sit under Home when your venue has what they need:
- Show "Order to your table" (on by default) — for a venue that takes orders at the table: a card on your home page for guests who are at the venue. Switch it off if not every table has its own code; guests then order by scanning the code on their table. The card only shows while ordering at the table is switched on.
- Show "Get our news" (off by default) — Your website includes it (so do Plus and above, and any product with marketing): a card where visitors sign up for your emails. While it's on, Where it shows picks its place: Home page (the first choice — near the end of your home page, before "Book a table") or Every page’s footer (at the bottom of every page of your site); the live preview shows it where you choose. Each person confirms from an email before they join your list — nobody is added from their address alone — and then shows in Guests as having said yes to your emails; every email you send them has a way to stop. The card doesn't show while your marketing is paused.
Gallery photos
up to 12 photos from your image library — drop each on the Add a gallery photo box (or tap Choose a picture) and it joins the end of the list. Every photo is shown whole, at its own shape — nothing is cropped: the home page shows the first six as a strip that scrolls sideways (once you have three or more — with one or two, the Gallery page alone shows them), and the Gallery page lays them all out in neat columns, left to right in your order. On a computer the strip has arrows at its edges. A guest who opens a photo larger can go to the next or previous one (the arrow buttons, the arrow keys, or a swipe on a phone), and sees which one they're on ("3 of 12"). Drag rows (or use the up and down buttons beside each row — a screen reader hears the new position) to reorder; each photo has its own optional Label for photo box, shown only when a visitor opens the photo larger — never as a caption under it. A new website photo asks Describe this picture as it goes in; those words start its label and are its alt text.
Add your own pages
The Your own pages row lets you add up to 30 extra pages, each its own page with its own address (made from the title — shown under the title in the editor). Under Add a page, restaurants and cafés are offered FAQs, Private dining, Sunday menu, Jobs, Gift ideas and Custom page; any other business is offered Services, Prices, Team, FAQs, Jobs and Custom page (from the business type you chose when you joined). A new page starts with a few blocks that suit it — a price list for Prices, a team block for Team — under Blocks on this page (see Blocks below). Show in your site’s menu switched off keeps a page out of the site's menu while its address still works (a page you only link to from a button). Search title and Search description set what Google shows for that page; left blank, they're made from the page title and your venue. Pages show in the menu in the order you set here. Each page has a title (leave it blank for a sensible default), an intro line, free text, an optional photo cropped to the wide box the page shows (the crop step draws the slice desktops see) — it opens the page, above the title — and — for FAQs — up to 12 questions and answers. Button on this page picks the one button under the page's words: Book a table, Call us, Email us or No button (private dining and jobs pages start on Email us; gift ideas, services, prices and team pages on Call us; the rest on Book a table — or on Call us for a venue that takes no table bookings, which isn't offered Book a table). If the page can't offer your choice right now — no phone saved, bookings off, or your email not shown — the next one it can offer shows instead. A Sunday menu page can also show one of your named menus: pick it under Show a menu from your Menu page (you make them on the Menu page, under Shareable menus) and the page carries a See the menu button that opens that menu — the real one, so there's nothing to keep up to date twice. A page appears on your site once it has some text (or at least one answered question), and you can reorder, switch off or remove pages at any time — removing a page that has anything on it asks Remove this page? first, and until you save, Discard brings it back. Rezo drafts your FAQs (1 Rezo credit) writes the questions guests usually ask, with answers taken only from your settings — your hours, your booking rules, your menu and your venue's details — as a new FAQs page in your changes; check every answer before you publish. Rezo is only ever given your venue's own details, never your guests', and if a Rezo job fails, the credit is given back.
Blocks — build a page your way
Your home page, your About page and every page of your own can hold blocks, under Blocks on your home page, Blocks on your About page and Blocks on this page. Add a block offers: Text (words with bold, links and lists — the Bold, Link and List buttons write them for you), Text and photo, Photos (a grid or a strip, up to 12), Columns (two or three), Buttons (up to three — book, call, email, one of your pages or a web address), Video (a YouTube or Vimeo link — the video only loads when a guest presses play), Map and hours (from your settings), Contact form, Price list (services or items with prices, in groups), Quote, Team, FAQs and Divider. ResoFlow's own live blocks — Book a table, Menu, What’s on, Gift cards, Reviews and Order online — are offered only when your venue has that feature. Move a block up or down, or remove it; the layout looks after itself on every screen. On the home page, Your blocks takes its place in Section order like any other section. Words never carry code: a link only ever goes to a web address, an email or a phone number.
The contact form
Switch on Show a contact form in the Contact section (or add a Contact form block to any page). Guests give a first and last name, their email, an optional phone number and a message, and a quick check stops bots. Where your Get our news sign-up is on, the form also carries an unticked box to get your news by email: ticking it sends the same confirm link as the sign-up card, and they only join your list once they press it — sending an enquiry never signs anyone up on its own. Every message lands in Messages (/dashboard/messages), on every plan — Free, Plus, Pro, Complete or the website on its own — under From your website, one conversation per guest; there is no separate Enquiries list. There you reply (your reply goes to them by email from your venue, and their answer comes back to the same conversation), add a note for your team and Mark as done. You get a bell for each enquiry — on by default, and pushed to your devices if push alerts are on (see Get the app and alerts). Email me each website enquiry (Settings → Team alerts and sounds, under Website enquiries, or Settings → Messages) emails you as well, on every plan: if you were already getting an email for each enquiry, it stays on; a new venue starts with it off — switch it on if you want one too. They're kept like any guest message: 13 months after the last one, then deleted. See How do guests message us?.
News
Switch on Show your News page in the News row, give the page a name (Page name — "News" unless you change it), and Write a post: a Title, a Date, Words and an optional Photo. A post needs a title and a date to be saved. The page lists your posts newest first and joins your site's menu.
Writing ideas for your website
In the full website editor, Writing ideas offers editable examples for the opening line, your story, the longer About text and enabled non-FAQ custom page text. Choose a starter or write your own proposal, replace the placeholders and check the details for your venue. These are local examples; they do not use Rezo credits or verify your facts.
Confirm the exact wording before choosing Use this wording or Replace this field. This changes only that editor field. Review it, then use the normal Save and publishing controls when ready. If the field changes while you are writing, review its latest text and confirm your proposal again.
You can cancel and discard the writing proposal without replacing the existing field. Proposed text is not saved automatically or kept in browser storage. Leaving with unsaved writing opens the existing unsaved-changes flow; Save & exit asks you to review the proposal first. The examples are optional and do not appear in the free venue-page editor or the first-run set-up.
