Can I charge different prices for collection and delivery?

One menu, per-channel prices — a whole-menu adjustment, per-category overrides and exact per-dish prices, plus dishes hidden per channel or offered remotely only.

Yes — with collection and delivery ordering (see Collection and delivery) you can price each channel differently while keeping one menu underneath: the same dishes, the same stock, the same set menus and kitchen screens. Nothing here ever changes what at-table customers pay.

The channel view on the Menu page

The Menu page gains a Viewing switcher — At table, Collection and Delivery. The At table view is your menu exactly as it's always been. Switch to a channel and you see that channel's menu with final prices exactly as its customers see them — every adjustment already applied — and the controls to change them.

The three price layers

Prices resolve through three layers, most specific wins — a dish's own price beats its category's, which beats the whole-menu adjustment:

• Adjust all prices — one whole-menu Price adjustment per channel: Add %, Add £ or No change. A percentage adjustment rounds each price to the nearest 5p, so £4.50 + 10% shows as £4.95, never £4.9500001.
• Category price adjustment — give a category its own adjustment on that channel (or none), overriding the whole-menu dial for its dishes. A category can also be hidden from a channel entirely (Hide this category).
• Set price — type an exact price for one dish on that channel. It's used to the penny, never rounded, and beats both layers above. There's also Hide this dish for a dish that shouldn't be ordered on that channel at all — a dish that travels badly, say.

The adjustment applies to each dish's own price — option and choice-step extras keep the prices you set on them, on every channel, and supplements inside set menus and deals are unchanged too.

Remote-only dishes

The reverse also works: mark a dish Collection & delivery only and it appears on the collection and delivery menus but not to customers ordering at the table — a family meal deal that only makes sense as takeaway, for example.

What customers pay

The prices a channel shows are the prices its customers are charged — the checkout re-prices every order on the server against the same three layers, so a stale page can never pay the wrong amount. Receipts, the Orders screen and your sales figures all show the channel price actually paid, and VAT uses each dish's rate from the Menu page exactly as at the table — which rate applies to takeaway food is your accountant's call (see the menu guide).
