What does "Check my wording" do to my policies?
It's an optional AI read of your own policy wording against the fixed baseline, looking for contradictions — advisory only, it never blocks a save and never changes your text.
Check my wording sits at the bottom of Settings → Customer policies. It reads the wording you have written — your cancellation policy, your terms, your privacy additions — against the fixed clauses ResoFlow always includes, and tells you where the two contradict each other. For example, your own text promising refunds "any time before your booking" when your deadline is set to 24 hours.
Four things worth being clear about:
- It only runs when you click it. Nothing is sent anywhere while you type, and nothing is sent when you save. The button checks the wording currently in the boxes, including unsaved edits.
- It is advisory only. It never blocks a save, never edits your wording, and never changes what customers see. Every finding is a suggestion you can act on or ignore. If you disagree with it, ignore it — you know your venue.
- It never invents rules. It compares your text against the fixed clauses and the settings you've already chosen, such as your cancellation deadline. It isn't legal advice, and it can't tell you whether your policy is lawful — only whether it disagrees with itself.
- It doesn't always fire. If the check is unavailable you'll see "We couldn't check your wording just now" — your policies save exactly as normal. There is also a limit on how often it can run, so a rapid burst of checks may pause briefly.
Above it, a set of instant amber notes appears as you type. Those are plain rule checks that run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere — the AI check is the deeper second look.
Where your text goes. The policy wording you have written is sent to Google's Vertex AI, hosted in the EU, for the advisory read — the same service that powers Rezo and the menu importer. It is never used to train a model. It's listed on our Sub-processors page under Google. Nothing about your customers is sent — this is your own business wording, which you publish to customers anyway.
