How does "Invite a friend" work in loyalty?

Members share a personal link or code; when a friend joins through it, each side gets the reward you choose — a promotion saved to their account, or bonus stamps or points — at the moment you choose. Caps, quiet abuse rules, and the fact that ResoFlow never emails the friend.

What it is. Every active member of your loyalty scheme can get a personal invite link and an eight-letter invite code from their loyalty card. When a friend joins your scheme through that link (or types the code), the friend gets a reward and the member who invited them gets a reward — each one whatever you chose. It is off until you switch it on, and it needs the same plan as loyalty itself (see How do I set up a loyalty scheme?) plus promotions available on your plan, because a reward can be one of your promotions.

Where to set it up. Open the Loyalty page (sidebar → Guests), stay on the Scheme tab and scroll to the Invite a friend card under your scheme's details. It saves on its own — changing it never touches the rest of your scheme.

For An offer from a promotion, the picker under Which promotion lists your claimable promotions (create one on the Promotions page with claiming switched on). A promotion with one-per-person codes can't be an invite reward. If you later pause or end that promotion, the reward is skipped at its moment — bring the promotion back or pick another.

What your members see. On their loyalty card in your customer portal, an active member finds an Invite a friend panel. Get my invite link shows their code and link; Copy link copies it and Share opens their phone's share sheet where one exists. The member does the inviting — ResoFlow never emails the friend. The welcome email a new member receives mentions the panel when the programme is on. A friend who opens the link lands on your loyalty join page with the code already filled into the Invite code field; a friend who was only told the code can type it there, or later into the Add a promo or invite code box on their own loyalty card (that works only while they are still new — a member who has already earned at your venue can't be attributed afterwards).

What you see. The Referrals tile on the Loyalty page counts members who joined through an invite. Each attribution and each reward paid appears in your Activity log as a routine customer-record entry; a reward given as a promotion shows in the member's saved coupons, and bonus stamps or points show as a movement in their history.

The rules that keep it honest.
