How do I design the loyalty card?
Customise card colours, logo, banner and visible fields with per-platform previews — and note that Google Wallet requires a logo.
The Card design tab on the Loyalty page controls how your members' cards look — in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and the customer portal. Once you save your changes (Save in the top bar), the cards already on members' phones update by themselves — you never need to re-issue them.
What you can customise
- Card colours — Background, Text and Field labels. Each shows a small Automatic tag until you pick your own colour: Background automatic uses your brand colour from Settings → Branding, Text automatic picks dark or light to stay readable on your background, and Field labels automatic follows the text colour. A colour you've picked gets an Automatic reset button (Use brand colour on the Background) to put it back.
- Logo — leave blank to use your restaurant logo from Settings → Branding, click Choose image to open the image library picker for a card-specific one (a square transparent PNG, 512×512, works best — reuse from Your library, pick a ready-made mark from Ready-made, or crop a fresh upload under Upload new), or paste a direct https:// image address. A logo on a plain solid background is conservatively trimmed for the Apple pass, and the designer warns you when an opaque or JPG logo can't be trimmed safely.
- Banner image (optional) — the strip image across the card (a wide banner — the crop frame matches the wallet pass exactly). Use the Use cover photo button to reuse your cover photo (it's trimmed slightly top and bottom to fit the pass), or Choose image to pick a dedicated banner from your library, the ready-made set, or a new upload.
- Name beside the logo — blank uses your restaurant name (max 40 characters).
- Show the member's name and Show the scheme name — visibility toggles for the card's fields.
- Show "Member since", Show the next reward and Show your contact details — three more toggles, all on by default: the month the member joined, how far to their next reward, and your phone, address and website. Member since and the next reward appear on both the wallet pass and the portal card; your contact details appear on the back of the wallet pass.
- Back-of-card note (optional) — shown under "About" on the back of the Apple pass (max 200 characters).
The live preview
The preview shows all three platforms at once — Apple Wallet, Google Wallet and Portal card — each rendering your design in that platform's real slot layout and updating live as you edit, so what you see matches what lands on the phone. The portal card (the loyalty card in a member's online account) follows this same pass design.
Google Wallet needs a logo
As the Logo field explains: Google Wallet requires a logo — without one, members get the Apple pass only (the Google save button is hidden rather than showing a ResoFlow-branded card). If you haven't set a logo under Settings → Branding, add one — or choose / paste a card-specific logo — before promoting Google Wallet to members.
Lock-screen notices
The Lock-screen notices setting controls what members' phones say when their card updates:
- Reward moments (the recommended default) — a lock-screen notice only when a reward unlocks, the card fills, or a reward is redeemed.
- Every change — a notice on every balance move, every stamp and point. Engaging, but can feel noisy.
- Silent — the card updates quietly in the background, no notices at all.
One honest platform difference, stated on the page itself: this applies to Apple Wallet only — Google cards never notify on updates. And balance-expiry warnings and data-removal updates never notify on any setting.
