How do saved offers work?
Loyalty members can save a claimable offer to their account — from an email button, a typed code, or when you send it to members yourself — and staff redeem it in one tap at the venue.
Saved offers close the loop between promotions and loyalty: a member banks an offer to their account now and redeems it later, with nothing to print or remember. They need both sides — a loyalty scheme AND the Promotions page, which is a Pro / Complete plan feature (the standalone Loyalty product deliberately doesn't include Promotions). Only promotions with Customers can save this to their account switched on are claimable, and only loyalty members can claim.
How members save an offer
- From a marketing email — when you attach a claimable promotion to a campaign, the composer's Add to their account switch is on by default, and the email carries an Add to my account button. One click lands the member in their portal and the offer is saved (switch Add to their account off in the composer to send without the button).
- By typing a code — the member's portal loyalty card has an Add a promo code box while you have a live claimable offer.
- As a birthday gift — if your loyalty scheme's Birthday perk is set to An offer from a promotion, the offer is saved to each member's account automatically during their birthday week, once a year — see How do I set up a loyalty scheme?.
You can also add an offer to members' accounts yourself, with no email click needed: on the Promotions page, a claimable promotion's card has a Send to members action. Pick the audience — all active members, or narrowed by the same filters the marketing composer uses (visit count, last booked, birthday month, joining date, tags) — confirm with your password, and the offer is banked straight into each matching member's account. It's completely quiet: nobody is emailed or notified (wallet passes just update their offers-waiting count by themselves), so if you want members to know, follow up with a card message from the Loyalty page or attach the promotion to a marketing email. Members who already have the offer are skipped, the usual limits still apply, and you get an honest tally afterwards: how many were added, how many already had it, and how many were skipped. Promotions with one-per-person codes can't be sent this way — use a marketing campaign for those, so each recipient gets their own code.
Either way the offer appears under Saved offers on their portal card, marked Saved, with a line explaining where it applies — at the venue, at ticket checkout, or when booking. Members who aren't signed in, or haven't confirmed their membership yet, are told what to do first.
Claiming is once per member per offer (the automatic birthday gift is the one exception — it can gift the same promotion again the following year) — unless the promotion's Customers can claim it again after using it toggle is on. It's off by default; switched on, a member whose saved offer has been used can claim a fresh one, though an offer marked No longer valid never comes back either way. And saving an offer never uses up the offer's allowance — the use is only counted if it's actually redeemed, so a saved-but-forgotten offer costs you nothing.
Members who carry your loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet also see an offers-waiting count on the pass itself. It updates quietly as offers are claimed and redeemed — never a notification, the card just stays current.
How staff redeem one
When staff scan the member's card in the Scanner, their Saved offers appear right on the scan result — one tap redeems, exactly once, and the offer flips to Used on the member's portal card. Offers scoped to online ticket checkout say "Applied at online checkout" in the Scanner instead of offering a button — the member uses the code on the event page like any other.
When a saved offer dies
While a promotion is paused, its saved offers can't be redeemed — they stay saved and come back to life if you resume. Deleting the promotion, or the offer permanently running out, marks saved offers No longer valid. The same happens when the membership behind a saved offer ends — a member who leaves your loyalty scheme, or a loyalty scheme you delete, has their un-used saved offers closed too (re-joining doesn't bring them back, though fresh offers can be claimed as normal). Redemptions respect all the promotion's usual caps and dates — a saved offer can't sneak past an expiry.
