How do staff sign in with a PIN?

Staff open the shared portal link on a paired device and type their personal PIN — plus what happens on wrong PINs and lockouts.

Staff sign in by opening your restaurant's staff portal link on a paired device and typing their personal PIN on the keypad — no email or password needed.

There is ONE shared portal link for the whole team — what identifies each person is their own PIN. Never share the link publicly.

Wrong PINs and lockouts. A wrong PIN shows "Incorrect PIN — try again." with the number of attempts remaining. After 10 failed attempts the message becomes "Too many failed attempts — this device is locked for 1 hour. The restaurant owner can unlock it from the Staff page in the dashboard." Lockouts are per device: one locked device never blocks the others. As the owner you can clear a lockout early from the Staff page — an amber banner appears with a Clear lockouts button, and each staff row also has Unlock.

Forced PIN change. If someone's PIN has expired, or you've reset it, they can still sign in once but land on My profile with an amber "Your PIN has expired" banner — everything else is disabled until they set a new PIN.

Owners and admins. Below the keypad there's a discreet Owner / admin sign-in link that reveals the email-and-password form (with Sign in with Google and Forgot your password?). Owners are taken to the main dashboard; admins stay in the portal.

If the page says "Portal not found" or "Staff portal unavailable" instead of a keypad, the link has been replaced or the portal has been disabled — see the FAQ below.
