How do I build my floor plan and add tables?
Use the Floor plan Builder to add tables and decorations, arrange your layout, and manage multiple floor plans.
You build your layout in the Floor plan Builder: go to Settings → Venue → Tables & layout and click Open editor in the Floor plans editor card. (The same editor opens from the Floor plan page's Edit Layout button — editing needs the floor-plan edit permission.)
Add tables
- Pick a size tab at the top: Small, Medium or Large.
- Click a shape — Circle, Rectangle or Square — to drop a table onto the canvas. It's named automatically ("Table 1", "Table 2"…).
- Each shape and size comes with a preset customer capacity: circles seat 2 / 3 / 5 (small / medium / large), rectangles 4 / 6 / 8, squares 2 / 4 / 6.
- To set your own capacity, tick Custom guests and enter a number from 1 to 20 before adding the table.
- Drag tables to arrange them. Snap to grid (on by default) keeps things tidy; tick Double click to delete if you want a faster way to remove tables.
- Use Undo and Redo freely — nothing is saved until you click Save changes.
Your plan caps how many tables you can have: 8 on Free, 30 on Plus, 100 on Pro, 250 on Complete. At the cap, the shape buttons grey out with an upgrade message.
Add decorations
Switch to the Decorations tab for Divider, Solid Wall, Staircase, Door, Bar Area and Kitchen Area. Decorations don't take bookings and don't count towards your table cap.
Manage floor plans (rooms, terraces, upstairs…)
- Click Manage floor plans above the canvas.
- Rename a plan by typing in its name box and pressing Enter.
- Tick or untick Smart walk-ins and Waitlist per plan to control whether that area's tables are used for automatic walk-in placement and waitlist seating (the Walk-Ins and Waitlist settings pages show these same switches).
- Drag the handle to reorder plans, or click Add floor plan to create one. Plans are capped at 1 / 2 / 5 / unlimited on Free / Plus / Pro / Complete.
- Delete a plan with its ✕ button (needs the floor-plan delete permission). You'll see a confirmation — deleting a plan permanently removes its tables too; bookings assigned to them keep their booking but lose their table assignment.
Saving
Click the green Save changes button — everything saves in one go. If your save would remove 10 or more tables, a warning lists them first and asks you to confirm with Remove and save. Closing with unsaved changes offers Save changes, Discard & Exit or Return to Editor.
