Order & Pay is here — plus a free mini-site for every venue
Guests can now scan their table's QR code, order and pay from their phone — with orders ringing on a live board for your team. Plus a free venue hub page for every restaurant, pre-orders for large parties, set menus & deals, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and every payment on one page.
Every venue knows the crunch: the room is full, everyone wants to order at once, and your team can't be everywhere. Today's update — our largest since launch — is built for exactly that moment. Guests can now order and pay from the table, every venue gets a free hub page that puts your whole guest-facing world on one link, large parties can choose their food before they arrive, and your money records just got dramatically easier to keep.
Order & Pay — guests order and pay from the table
Here's how it works. A guest scans the QR code on their table — the same per-table menu codes ResoFlow already gives you, no reprinting — browses your live menu, picks their dishes (choices, sizes and sides included), adds an optional tip and pays from their phone. If you allow it, they can pay with a gift card too. And paying is faster than ever: guests with Apple Pay or Google Pay on their phone see one-tap wallet buttons above the card form — on table orders and across your booking deposits, event tickets, gift cards and payment links.
The moment an order is paid it rings on your new orders board — a big, glanceable screen under Front of house → Orders on the dashboard or the staff portal — and keeps ringing until someone acknowledges it. Every open order carries a live waiting timer that turns amber, then red, so the longest-waiting table is always obvious. From there it's one tap for Delivered; refunding a rejected order sits safely behind a manager PIN; and orders containing alcohol carry a Check ID badge — guests confirm they're 18+ before paying, and you write the refund policy they see if an ID check fails.
Every guest gets an itemised receipt email: each dish with its choices, the tip, and a VAT breakdown once you've added your VAT number. Loyalty members earn on orders automatically, and their receipt quietly shows what they earned; guests who aren't members yet see a one-line invitation to join. Money-off promotions work at the table too — typed codes or automatic offers, exactly like the rest of ResoFlow.
You stay in charge. Every menu category has its own ordering switch and serving windows (breakfast until 11, the bar late into the night), the board carries fast mid-service switches, and Order & Pay won't let itself go live until Stripe is connected and there's somewhere for orders to ring. The numbers take care of themselves, with a new Orders tab in Analytics, a dish-by-day VAT-ready CSV export, an optional daily sales email, and orders joining your weekly report.
There's a new trick on the menu itself, too: set menus & deals. Bundle existing dishes into one price — a course-based set menu ("3 courses for £25") or a simple pairing ("burger + any drink £15") — with its own serving times. Guests ordering at the table build theirs step by step, one course per screen, any supplements shown honestly inline, and if you've set dish VAT rates your receipts and sales figures split the bundle price across them automatically.
Pricing is simple and honest: there's a flat 10p platform fee per paid Order & Pay table order, deducted from your payout — never added to the guest's bill, and tips are never touched. Payments go through your own Stripe account, so Stripe's standard card-processing fee also applies. Order & Pay is included on Chef's Table.
One link for everything — your venue hub
A phone showing a venue hub page with Book a table, Menu, What's on and Gift cards buttons, and a Find us section
Every venue on ResoFlow now has a free, mobile-friendly home page at resoflow.co.uk/venue/your-slug. It pulls your whole guest-facing world onto one screen: your cover photo and logo, a big friendly button for everything you offer — book a table, the menu, what's on, gift cards, the waitlist, your loyalty scheme, guest accounts — and a Find us section with your opening hours (today first, special days included), a tappable address that opens Google Maps, a tappable phone number, and your social links.
It only ever shows what you've actually switched on — nothing locked, nothing greyed out — so it always looks complete, whatever your plan. On phones, your guest pages share an app-like bottom tab bar (Home · Menu · Book · Account), so hopping from your menu to a booking feels like one place, not five links.
If you don't run a website, this IS your website — put it on your Google Business Profile, your Instagram bio and your table talkers, and there's even a switch to make it your official online home so every Back button leads there. Your next three events show as cards with dates and from-prices, linking to a full What's on listing.
Pre-orders for large parties
Big tables are brilliant for the room and hard on the kitchen. Switch on Pre-orders and parties at or above your chosen size are invited to pick their dishes after booking — the organiser chooses for the whole table on their manage-booking page, with quantities and an optional name against each line ("steak — Dave"). Bookings your team records by hand can be emailed a pre-order request too.
You decide how the food is paid: at the venue as normal, online when the order is submitted alongside your usual deposit, or the pre-order total as the booking's payment. Your kitchen sees it all — the day sheet lists each booking's dishes and totals everything into a Kitchen prep section ("Sea bass × 14"). Paid pre-orders email the guest an itemised receipt, and if a party shrinks, the organiser can reduce a paid order themselves: the difference is refunded automatically, at the prices they originally paid. Pre-orders are included on À la Carte and Chef's Table.
A day sheet's Kitchen prep section totalling pre-ordered dishes for the day
And you decide when pre-orders run: every day, chosen weekdays and time windows, or special dates only — Christmas Day with its own minimum party size, deadline, wording and even its own menu, built from categories you can keep off the everyday list. Guests see the arrangement clearly when they book, anyone who still hasn't chosen by their last day to order gets a friendly reminder email (and the booking is flagged for your team), and if it's too late to pre-order you can optionally ask qualifying parties to call instead of booking online.
Every payment, one page
The new Payments page (under Grow) lists every payment in and out — deposits, pay-in-full bookings, extras, pre-orders, event tickets, no-show fees, payment links, gift cards, Order & Pay and every refund — with totals for any period, print and CSV.
The paperwork around it caught up too: every gift card now has a printable statement plus a venue-wide summary for any period, every loyalty member has a printable history plus a scheme summary, and the day sheet prints any past day or date range. End-of-month just got shorter.
The small things that add up
- Amending feels like booking — guests who manage a booking now pick party size and time with the same tap-a-slot controls as your booking page, current choices pre-selected — no more scroll wheels.
- A tidier sidebar — the new Front of house section puts Bookings, Timeline, Floor Plan, Displays and the Scanner together at the top, and sections collapse (remembered per person) in both the dashboard and the staff portal.
- Allergen notices — tick each dish's allergens on the Menu page and guests ordering from their phone see them in writing on the dish; every page where guests choose dishes now carries the standard allergen notice.
- VAT on receipts — VAT-registered? Enter your number and guest receipts for table orders, pre-orders and pay-in-full bookings break down the VAT included, using each dish's rate from your menu. Not registered? Nothing changes.
- Faster public booking pages — the behind-the-scenes security check now runs as the page opens instead of holding up the first availability check, so guests on slow connections spend less time waiting.
Included in your plan
Order & Pay and set menus & deals are included on Chef's Table. Pre-orders are included on À la Carte and Chef's Table. The venue hub, the Payments page, statements and printing work for every venue — the hub simply shows whatever your plan offers.
