Booking deposits & no-show protection
Take reservation deposits by card when guests book — or save a card and only charge a flat no-show fee if the party doesn't arrive. Your rules by party size, day and date, payments straight into your venue's own Stripe account, and refunds run automatically by your cancellation policy.
On Plus and above — from £39/month.
No platform fee on deposits — you keep 100% of your deposits. As with any card payment you take, Stripe's standard processing fees apply to your venue.
Part of booking, not an awkward extra.
A deposit is asked for inside the normal booking flow — the guest sees it plainly, pays by card, and the table is confirmed.

You set the rules
A per-person amount — flat, or tiered by party size — with a minimum party size, a day-and-time schedule so deposits apply only when you need them, and special dates like Christmas with their own amounts.
- 2
Guests see it plainly
The booking page says it up front — “A deposit of £10.00 per person is required for this booking” — and the payment step states the exact total before a card is ever entered. No surprises at the table.
- 3
Paid by card, straight to you
The deposit is charged when the booking is made, directly on your venue's own Stripe account — you're the merchant, and ResoFlow never holds your money.

Refunds follow your policy
Full, partial or no refund on cancellation, with a free-cancellation deadline you set. Cancel inside the window and the refund is automatic; outside it, the deposit is retained — and if you decline a booking request, the guest is always refunded in full.
No deposit? Save a card instead.
For venues that don't want money up front: qualifying bookings save a card at booking, and a flat no-show fee is only ever charged if the party doesn't arrive.
A card, not a charge
At booking, the guest securely saves a card — nothing is taken. The page states the exact fee and when it applies before the card is saved, so the guest agreed to precisely what you might charge.
A human decision, never automatic
Only a staff member deliberately marking the booking as a no-show — and explicitly choosing to charge — arms the fee. The automatic no-show system never takes money, however the night goes.
A safety delay before any money moves
The fee is scheduled after a delay you choose (three hours by default). Re-seat or restore the booking within it and the charge is cancelled — a guest who showed up can never be charged.
Late cancellations, optionally
A separate toggle applies the same fee when a protected guest cancels inside your free-cancellation window. It's off by default — you decide whether a late cancel counts.
Card required — or not
Choose whether a saved card is mandatory to complete a qualifying booking, or whether guests can book on without one. Either way, the minimum party size keeps small tables out of it.
Refunds stay in the app
Charged a fee, then sorted it out with the guest? Refund it from your dashboard — permission-gated, logged, and never a trip to your Stripe dashboard.
Honest about the money.
No platform fee on deposits — you keep 100% of your deposits.
Your Stripe account, your money
Deposits and no-show fees are charged on your venue's own Stripe account — you're the merchant of record, and Stripe's standard card-processing fees apply to your venue, exactly as with any card payment you take.
Every refund lane is in-app
Automatic policy refunds, manual deposit refunds, no-show fee refunds — all from your dashboard, permission-gated and recorded. You never need to open Stripe to give money back.
Your choices are honoured
Cancel a booking and choose to retain the deposit, and it stays retained — automatic refunds only run when your policy grants them. The system moves money by your rules, never over them.
When this isn't right for you.
You'll need a Stripe account
Deposits and no-show fees are paid through your venue's own Stripe account, so you'll need one connected — it's free to set up, but it is a step before your first deposit.
A no-show fee isn't guaranteed money
The fee is charged to the saved card after the no-show, and a card can be declined or expired by then. A declined fee is not silently retried — you're alerted, and chasing it is yours. A deposit, paid up front, is the stronger protection for nights you can't afford to lose.
Deposits add a step to booking
A card payment at booking is friction, and some guests will drop off rather than pay. That's why the rules exist — scope deposits to the bookings that actually hurt: big parties, peak services, special dates.
Not sure which to use? Deposits for the nights you can't afford to lose; no-show protection for everything else. A booking never carries both — when a deposit applies, it takes precedence.
